Kelsey centers her consulting work on personalized and evidence-based mental health support for groups, organizations, and institutions with a particular emphasis on athletes and athletic cultures. Her aim is to aid organizations in developing and implementing effective mental health strategies for their athletes and staff. By providing guidance, Kelsey collaborates with organizations to create supportive environments that prioritize mental well-being, reduce stigma, and promote mental health awareness.

Program development and evaluation are crucial processes in creating and assessing programs. Kelsey supports organizations to create needs assessments, design program structure and curriculum, bring the program to existence, and assess the effectiveness of intended outcomes.

Kelsey received specialized training in qualitative research methods during her doctoral education. Her work seeks to explore and interpret the meanings individuals or groups assign to their experiences, beliefs, and interactions.
