Psychotherapy FAQs

Unfortunately, not! I am licensed to practice clinical mental health counseling in the state of Massachusetts and virtually in Vermont.
-
At this time, I do not see clients in person. While virtual care may not be right for everyone, research demonstrates that it can offer similar clinical effectiveness.
-
I am an out of network (OON) provider; however, most of our clients do use their insurance. Once payment is provided for the service, a superbill is created with all the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Your insurance company then mails you a check based on your individual coverage limits. I recommend contacting your insurance company before starting to find out their OON reimbursement policy.
-
Speaking with your insurance company regarding out-of-network (OON) benefits can be both challenging and confusing. Here are some questions to help guide the conversation:
Does my policy have Out Of Network Mental Health benefits?
What is the deductible for OON and has it been met?
Is there a limit on the amount of sessions my plan will cover?
Are virtual sessions covered by my plan?
Do you require pre-approval for sessions?
How do I submit superbill receipts?
-
I typically meet with clients weekly with the ability to increase or decrease frequency as needed. My fee is $200 for a 50-minute session.

Yes - thank you for asking!
I offer a limited number of sliding scale (reduced fee) spots. If you would like to discuss eligibility for sliding scale and current availability of a spot, feel free contact me.
Rates are agreed upon before the initial intake session and can be further discussed during the first session. Please make a note of your interest in sliding scale when setting up your appointment.
